Both fighters are true veterans of the sport and they each received wins in their last fights. Miller made quick work of Jason Gonzalez finishing him by rear-naked choke in the very first round. For his dominate victory Miller received a ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus. Last month Guida fought to a unanimous decision against UFC legend BJ Penn. Clay Guida and Jim Miller have an astounding 97 combined fights in their impressive MMA careers.
The event on August 3 will be called UFC on ESPN 5 which will take place in the home state of Jim Miller. Clay will have a little momentum of his own, recently be selected to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame for his fight against Diego Sanchez back in 2009. This should be a phenomenal fight between two gritty vets that is sure not to disappoint!
