On Monday, Bellator President Scott Coker announced the first-round match-ups for their featherweight grand prix via Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show.

The entirety of the opening round will take place on two cards which will be known as Bellator 226 and Bellator 227. Bellator 226 will take place on September 7, 2019 at the SAP Center in San Jose, California. Bellator 227 will occur on September 28, 2019 at The Forum in Inglewood, California.

All of the first-round fights, with the exception of Patricio Freire vs. Juan Archuleta (five round title fight), will be three rounds. After the opening-round, all the remaining fights will be five rounds.

There will be 16 total fighters in the tournament with a plethora of notable names including Patricio Freire, Daniel Straus, Pat Curran, Darrion Caldwell, and A.J. McKee.

Here are the current line-ups for Bellator 226 and Bellator 227:

Bellator 226

Heavyweight: Ryan Bader (c) vs. Cheick Kongo (for heavyweight title)

Featherweight: Sam Sicilia vs. Pedro Carvalho (FW Grand Prix)

Featherweight: Daniel Straus vs. Derek Campos (FW Grand Prix)

Featherweight: Pat Curran vs. Ádám Borics (FW Grand Prix)

Featherweight: Emmanuel Sanchez vs. Tywan Claxton (FW Grand Prix)

Bellator 227

Featherweight: Patricio Freire (c) vs. Juan Archuleta (for featherweight title, FW Grand Prix)

Middleweight: Lyoto Machida vs. Gegard Mousasi

Featherweight: A. J. McKee vs. Georgi Karakhanyan (FW Grand Prix)

Featherweight: Darrion Caldwell vs. Henry Corrales (FW Grand Prix)

Featherweight: Daniel Weichel vs. Saul Rogers (FW Grand Prix)
