LA Kings Laser Lights Show!!
During the first intermission at the Kings home game against the Buffalo Sabers on 10/17, the Kings celebrated their 20th Anniversary of playing at the Staples Center. They put on a show of 642 laser lights making a recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records. Unfortunately, they lost that game though 3-0.
Oh okay, a little bit about business…An addition to the LA Kings line up
On 10/18, the Kings have called up forward Nikolai Prokhorkin from Ontario.
Prokhorkin, 26 years old, 6’3, 190 pounds and from Russia. He was drafted by the Kings in the 4th round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft and then signed in the off season. He played in 41 games last season with SKA St.Petersburg (KHL) where he recorded 41 points, a plus-27 rating and 10 penalty minutes
Hockey fights are always exciting!
Kurtis MacDermid, who suffered an unspecified injury in his season debut at Calgary. He had two hits, was assessed a roughing minor and homed in on Milan Lucic for a hit that nearly left a crater in the ice and then fought him.
I live in New Hampshire and the Manchester Monarchs use to be the affiliated team with the LA Kings. Now the Monarchs are a ECHL team that still plays in Manchester, NH, but is no longer affiliated with the Kings.
