Micheal Bennett Traded to Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys have acquired Defensive End Micheal Bennett from the New England Patriots. The trade is reported to be for Dallas’s 2021 7th round pick. It was also said that the pick could become a 6th round pick for undisclosed stipulations.

The trade comes only a few days after Bennett was suspended one game after getting in an argument with the Patriots coaching staff.

Bennett played most of his career with the Seattle Seahawks and signed with the Patriots in the offseason. The veteran defensive end has 2.5 sacks this season and 65.5 in his 11-year career.

Micheal Bennett entered the league undrafted in 2009. He is a three-time Pro Bowler and a member of the Super Bowl XLVIII Champions Seattle Seahawks.

This marks the second trade made by the New England Patriots in the last week, as former Falcons Wide Reciever Mohamed Sanu was shipped to New England for a 2020 2nd round pick. The NFL Trade Deadline is this Tuesday at 4 pm Eastern.
