Browns Keys to Victory Over the Dolphins

If you have seen the Dolphins this year, some of you are saying show up. The problem with this Browns team is that attitude within the organization is why they are 4-6. The Dolphins have also won two of their last three games. One of those was the Colts, so overconfidence should not reign. Here are the Browns Keys to victory over the Dolphins in Cleveland.

Stay Disciplined

Browns Keys to Victory

The Browns have won two out of the last three games by playing disciplined football. They have limited penalties. There has not been a turnover in any of the three games. They have made big plays when needed combining with a stout backfield to get the job done. All of this must continue against the Dolphins. Just because the team you are facing is 2-8 does not mean details become unimportant again. The Dolphins are still an NFL team that can beat you any given Sunday. The Browns must continue to play the game with discipline even after the events at the end of last week’s game.

It’s Chubb/Hunt Time Again

The Dolphins come in as the 31st ranked defense against the run giving up 148.3 yards per game. The Browns have two of the best running backs in the NFL. If you don’t know where this is going, then I have no idea what to say to you. Obviously, the browns should be handing the ball off like it is the 1980’s. There is no reason to get cute or gimmicky in this one. Line up and beat down the man in front of you for the win. If the combination of Chubb and Hunt gets to 45+ carries, then Kitchens did it right.

Keep Feeding the Playmakers

When the ball is in the air it should be going to the playmakers of this offense. We saw it last week with big plays from Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry, and Kareem Hunt. If you get them the ball they will make the play. Kitchens must continue keeping it simple and getting the ball in their hands. This includes screens/check-downs to both Chubb and Hunt. Sometimes the smart play is the big play.

Side Note: If the Browns have David Njoku in this game this could be a big help in the red-zone.

Chubb and Hunt both go over 100 yards. Odell and Baker get on the same page the entire game. And the offense finally dominates a game. Browns continue to roll towards making the season interesting with a win over the Dolphins 34-17.
