Fantasy players that are clear starters will not be included in this Start or Sit article such as Patrick Mahomes, Christian McCaffrey, and Michael Thomas. And all the fantasy stats shown below will be based on a Point Per Reception (PPR) scoring format.
Start of the Week: Jonathan Williams vs Tennessee Titans
Colts head coach Frank Reich announced earlier this week that Marlon Mack will miss the game versus Tennessee, so the team will rely on Jonathan Williams. Over the last two weeks, Williams has taken control of the running game in Indy. He piled up 220 yards and one touchdown, as well as four receptions for 48 yards, in those games. In Week 13, Williams has a good matchup versus a Titans team that surrenders the 13th-most fantasy points to running backs this season. As a result, Williams should be in the lineup.
Other Good Starts:
- Miles Sanders at Miami Dolphins
- Latavius Murray at Atlanta Falcons
- Tarik Cohen at Detroit Lions
Sit of the week: Joe Mixon vs New York Jets
The Cincinnati Bengals are welcoming back veteran quarterback Andy Dalton to the lineup this week against the Jets. So while that should stabilize the passing game, it might limit Joe Mixon’s touches. Mixon has been hit-or-miss this season for the winless Bengals. He eclipsed 100-yards only once. Also, he has just one touchdown this season. Mixon faces a stout run defense in the Jets because New York allows the 11th-fewest fantasy points to running backs this season. As a result, Mixon should be benched.
Other Good Sits:
- Carlos Hyde vs New England Patriots
- Bo Scarbrough vs Chicago Bears
- Chris Carson vs Minnesota Vikings
