Sports Gambling: Here are @VaughnDalzell’s picks for Monday, December 9. Tonight’s slate features Monday Night Football in Philadelphia, one of the best teams in the East traveling to Chicago and Paul George making a return to Indiana.

Giants at Eagles (-9)

The weather in Philadelphia is not looking good, cold, rainy, dark and it’s perfect weather for an NFC East battle. The under has hit in seven of the last nine games in Philadelphia. However, the over has hit in six of the past seven meetings no matter the location. So there’s contradicting trends for this match up leaving it in the hands of Carson Wentz and Eli Manning.

Manning gets all the Giants weapons back as Golden Tate, Evan Engram, Sterling Shepard all join Saquon Barkley and Darius Slayton. Eli’s over/under on passing (249.5) is 10 yards higher than Wentz (239.5). So the book believes Eli will be airing it out. Both teams have terrible secondaries and if the ground is wet and the wind is minimal I think we will see mediocre offense outshine porous defense tonight.

Pick: Over 44.5

Raptors (-5) at Bulls

The Bulls have been struggling and are now 6-18 after 24 games this season. They’ve inserted Kris Dunn into the lineup. And that won’t help versus a Toronto team that has Kyle Lowry, Serge Ibaka and Marc Gasol all back and healthy. The line of -5 is reasonable but the Bulls have lost their last three games by a combined 11 points and all three by five points or less. They are scrapping and holding their opponents to 103 over the last five.

The Raptors are 6-5 on the road and this would be a serious letdown game if the 15-7 Raptors lost their third-straight game and heads back to Canada for the Clippers on Wednesday. Toronto is clearly the better team and should handle business tonight.

Pick: Raptors ML

Clippers (-1) at Pacers

Paul George and the Clippers are on the road in Indiana tonight for a date with the Pacers. This would be just another game if George didn’t spend seven years with the Pacers. Now in his 10th season in the NBA, George is on his best team yet and has started December shooting 48.3 percent from three and 51.5 percent from the field. He’s averaging 24 points with 4 three-pointers per game over that stretch. And that can be bad news for the Pacers, who have allowed their opponent to score 100-plus points in nine straight games.

George averaged 33.5 points in two games versus Indiana in 2018-19, scoring 36 in Indiana last season. He averaged 11 points per game over two meetings in 2017-18. This is a game where Kawhi could sit back and let George take the reins.

Pick: Paul George Over 25.5 Points
