Francis Ngannou will face Jairzinho Rozenstruik on March 28, 2020 at UFC Fight Night on ESPN in Columbus, Ohio.

It appears that Dana White & Shawn Shelby have granted Jaizinho Rozenstruik’s wish before we even hit Christmas! The best part is as fans we are the real winners here. Ngannou is currently rank #2 and has finished 8 of his last 9 UFC victories by KO or TKO. Rozenstruik is now ranked #5 and is undefeated with 9 of his 10 wins by KO or TKO.

Francis “The Predator” Ngannou

This Cameroon born fighter with a professional MMA record of 14-3 (9-2 in UFC) had his last fight in June. The Predator is coming into this fight on a string of 3 KO/TKO against dos Santos, Velasquez and Blaydes. The 33-year-old Francis is listed as 6’4” and 250 pounds with an 83” reach. In 2017, Ngannou’s knockout of Alistair Overeem won Knockout of the Year by every major award & MMA news outlet. The Predator has also received performance of the night four times, including two of his last three fights.

Jairzinho “Bigi Boy” Rozenstruik

The “Bigi Boy” from Surinamese holds a truly impressive 10-0 (4-0 in UFC) MMA record. Rozenstruik has KOed Alistair Overeem, Andrei Arlovski & Allen Crowder in just his last three fights. Add to that his TKO of Junior Albini at his UFC debut in just February of this year. Four big finishes in 2019 have to have him as one of the biggest rising stars, physically and metaphorically. The “Bigi Boy” is listed as 6’4” and 242 pounds with a 78” reach. This potentially makes him the smaller heavyweight, if that is even imaginable at these proportions. In just his second fight in the UFC against Allen Crowder Jairzinho received a performance of the night award.

This will be Rozenstuik’s 5th fight in just 13 months against Ngannou who last fought in June 2019. In March we are given a real treat from the heavyweight division, a surging “Bigi Boy” and a waiting “Predator”. UFC fans have Rozenstuik making tsunami level waves and Ngannou hopefully has done nothing but train for the next real contender. The winner here must be considered for the next heavyweight title shot in their next trip to the cage.

If you love a fight with power over technique, this is a match up made just for you.
