Best Christmas Day NBA Kicks

The NBA gets to put on a show every year for Christmas with a slate of games. The leagues biggest stars show off PE (player exclusive) kicks. This has become a yearly tradition that sneaker heads look forward to every year.

Celtics @ Raptors 12pm

The Toronto Raptors were hosting their first NBA Christmas Day game. However, they were without Pascal Siakam and Marc Gasol, so they were unable to stop Boston.

Kyle Lowry came out with a very special pair of Adidas Pro Model 2Gs. Lowry had a custom pair of kicks with his sons names printed on the medial side’s. Kyle was showing the Christmas spirit, and showing people that family is what really matters.

Enes Kanter had a pair of Nike Zoom Rize with the word “Freedom” written across the front. Kanter has been outspoken against the Turkish government. Also, he had his passport revoked in 2017 from the Turkish government. Consequently, this was his first trip abroad since it was revoked. Kanter scored 12 points and had 11 rebounds in 18 minutes.

Jayson Tatum had a pedestrian game scoring (11), but was able to contribute 9 rebounds, and 6 assists. On this Christmas, he was wearing a pair of the Air Jordan 34’s. These kicks were an exclusive PE for Tatum in the “Wrapping Paper” colorway.

Jaylen Brown had the biggest game for the Celtics scoring 30 points. He shot 10-13 from the field and 5-7 beyond the arc. Brown, and the Celtics were able to win, and push the team to 2nd in the east. Also, he wore a pair of mismatching pink and yellow Adidas Dame 6’s.

Bucks @ 76ers 2:30pm

In this game the 76ers blew out the Bucks and put on an impressive performance in a playoff atmosphere. In that game Josh Richardson had 18 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists. He has been an integral part of the Sixers offense and defense this season delivering on both ends. Here he’s seen rocking the Reebok Question.

Joel Embiid showed out on Christmas Day against Giannis and the Bucks. Embiid dominated scoring 31 points with 11 rebounds. Embiid is proving he can be the best on a contender. He wore the Under Armor HOVR Havoc II in a mismatching Christmas colorway.

Giannis was getting shut down by the Sixers on Christmas. He scored 18 points on 8-27 shooting struggling the entire day. Giannis had a bad day shooting going 0-7 from the 3 point line. He did debut the “Soul Glo” colorway of his signature Zoom Freak 1’s.

Rockets @ Warriors 5pm

This game was supposed to be the nap game. However, it was the biggest upset of the day. The Warriors won behind Draymond Green, and D’Angelo Russell. Russell dropped 20 points in the Warriors 116-104 win. Also, he was wearing the Li-Ning Way of Wade 8 of Christmas Day in an all-white color way.

PJ Tucker the Sneaker King of the NBA wore some rare Jordans on Christmas Day. Tucker wore the Jordan 4 “Wahlburger”, a pair worth $15K. Then midway through the game he switched to the KD 12 in the iconic “Aunt Pearl” colorway.

James Harden had a slow scoring game compared to his average. He scored 24 points on 9-18 shooting (6-10 from 3) in 38 minutes. Harden teased the Warriors wearing his signature kicks, the Harden Vol. 4 in a Warriors themed colorway.

Clippers @ Lakers 8pm

The Lakers and Clippers game lived up to be the epic battle we thought it would. The Clippers won on a last second defensive play by Patrick Beverly. He forced LeBron to turnover the ball with 3.4 seconds left giving the Clippers the ball with a 3 point lead.

James nearly dropped a triple double (23, 10, 9). However, he struggled shooting on the night. LeBron came out wearing the LeBron 17 in the “More Than an Athlete” colorway in the first half. Then in the second half he came out with the LeBron 7 in the “China Moon” colorway.

Anthony Davis was dominant early in the game on both sides of the floor. However, he fizzled out in the second half, and the Lakers weren’t able to pull it out. Davis was rocking the Nike Kobe Protro 5 in the “Chaos” colorway.

The Clippers were able to pull out the win vs their cross town rivals lead by Kawhi Leoanrd. The Klaw dropped 35, 12 and 5 and delivered on Christmas Day. Also, he has been wearing the New Balance OMN1S and on Christmas he came out with the “Money Stacks” colorway.

Paul George struggled on the night. Although he played 37 minutes, he only scored 17 points. However, he has his newest signature shoe the PG4 coming out in the new year. However, George stuck with the PG3 for Christmas Day.
