The weigh-in for Bellator 237, also known as Bellator Japan, have come and gone. Not without some surprises and one isn’t even a fighter missing weight.

Rampage hits the heavyweight limit of 265 after several reports coming out this week of him being well over 260. Even more interesting, in my opinion, is Fedor coming in at over 240, up from his average of under 230.

Two main card fighters did miss weight, Goiti Yamauchi at 157.8 and Lorenz Larkin at 173.5. Both aren’t terrible but these are high level fighters, fans expect more of a professional approach. According to Bellator officials after the weigh-ins, the fights will go on and both fighters have been fined 20%. Thankfully, there will be no excuses about weight for the top of the card, as they have real ranking implications.

The outcome of Chandler vs Outlaw either builds a star even brighter or creates a new star to watch.

Shinsho Anzai vs Michael Page is Page’s fight to keep his title shot level ranking and keep his legend alive.
