More Trade Targets For The Sabres

Recently, I did an article about how the Buffalo Sabres could acquire Alex Galchenyuk to help out their depth. I decided to write about a couple more players that could help out the team.

Anthony Duclair

Duclair would be a great pickup for the Sabres. The Senators left-winger is having a good year with a team that’s building for the future. In 38 games played this season, Duclair has a team-high 21 goals and 30 points, with five of those goals coming on the power play and one shorthanded goal. Not only could he benefit in a bottom-six role, but he’s also a factor on both sides of special teams. He could definitely benefit the Sabres.

Chris Kreider

Kreider could help out the second or third line for the Sabres. He has ten goals, which is third-best on the Rangers roster, and 11 assists in 36 games played with the Rangers, scoring three power-play goals. When it comes to playing on the power play and penalty kill, he can play on the Sabres second power-play unit and either penalty kill unit. Like Duclair, he can help the depth players on the Sabres roster, and could definitely help out on special teams as well.

Tyler Toffoli

In 38 games played with the Kings this year, the right-winger is third-best on the roster with 21 points, nine goals and 12 assists, with one power-play goal. If I were Sabres General Manager Jason Botterill, I wouldn’t put Toffoli anywhere in the bottom six, I believe he is a top-six forward and nothing more. With all of the talent on the first power-play unit, he would fit in best on the second power-play unit. When it comes to the penalty kill, however, he shouldn’t see anytime on either unit.

Conclusion

Out of these three players, I would love Toffoli to be on this roster the most. He’s a very beneficial player and would help out with the Sabres moving forward as we approach the end of the first half of the NHL season and start getting ready to try and get into a playoff spot during the second half. All of these stats are according to NHL.com.
