Reported by Espn Adrian Wojnarowski The Detroit Pistons and Atlanta Hawks have engaged in talks.

The belief is that Drummond will opt of his final year at 28 million dollars looking for a long term deal. Being at the edge of playoff contention most years the Pistons are looking for a change.

The teams that have been linked to Drummond are the Atalanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks and Toronto Raptors. The team most engaged with the Pistons are the Hawks. Three large expiring contracts could help the Hawks facilitate this trade.

NBA Teams Possibly Involved

Denver Nuggets, Miami Heat

With the injury to Zion Williamson, the New Orleans Pelicans slim playoffs hope went out the door. With the trade deadline getting closer and closer the Pelicans have reportedly started to shop Jrue Holiday.

At 29 years old Holiday contract runs through 2021-2022 at 26 million dollars a year. One of the best defensive guards in the league Holiday will be a hot commodity this trade season.

Two teams that have emerged are the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat. Both teams could use a player like Holiday especially the Nuggets. Gary Harris is a serviceable two guard but Holiday would be an upgrade at that position. The Heat has received tremendous production from Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson but a veteran like Holiday is invaluable in the Playoffs. Players like Dion Waiters, James Johnson, and Kelly Olynyk would be good salary fillers.

There aren’t as many options for the Nuggets as Mason Plumlee and Gary Harris would need to be added in any trade.

NBA Playoff Contendending teams

Most rumors are usually only hearsay and you don’t hear anything from the actual players. This case is different as Dewayne Dedmon has informed the Sacramento Kings that he wants out of Sacramento.

Dedmon  told the Sacramento Bee:

“‘I would like to be traded,’ Dedmon told The Bee, speaking publicly about his trade request for the first time. ‘I haven’t been playing, so I would like to go somewhere where my talents are appreciated.’ The Kings are listening to offers and there appears to be a market for Dedmon’s services, but a league source told The Bee any deal would have to make sense for the team and its future.”

During the off-season, Dedmon signed a three year 40 million dollar contract. The thought was that Deadmon would bring a veteran presence on the inside. Plans have changed as Deadmon has not played in the majority of the King’s games with the emergence of Richaun Holmes.

The skills that Dedmon bring are a big who can shoot from deep and protect the rim. At 13 million dollars annually Dedmon can be a very good backup center for an NBA contender.

Kevin Love

NBA Teams Possibly Involved

Portland Trailblazers, Philadephia 76ers

Nearly $29 million this year with three more years totaling a little more than $90 million Love suitors will be limited. But a player like Love who can still shoot it from the outside and rebound will still have a trade market. Teams like The Portland Trailblazers and Philadephia 76ers may be interested in the veteran power forward.

Love is a native of Lake Oswego and may be looking to play closer to home in his final years. Also even with Carmelo Anthony on the team they still have a major hole at the power forward position. As mention earlier Love is owed a lot of money the next three years so players like Kent Bazemore or Hassan Whiteside would have to be involved. The Clevland Cavaliers are moving toward the youth movement and will be looking to get out of the final three years of Love massive contract.
