Zachary Evans is the most astonishing running back in the 2020 class by far. He has been beating school records at North Shore High School in Houston, Texas. Due to his crazy national popularity, he hasn’t made a hard commit yet. It looks like the Tennessee Vols are the front runners, but there will be a crucial visit at the University of Georgia this weekend.
Zachary Evans qualities at running back
This five star running back is 5’11 and 200 pounds. Evans runs a 4.51 in the 40-yard dash, which is excellent speed for his college-ready frame. Evans is best when going between the tackles due to his quick burst of speed. After he gets past the linebackers, he has the agility to take it all the way. The comparison scouts use based on his talent is Melvin Gordon.
Zachary Evans’s high school career placed him on teams radar. In his three years, he had 456 carries for 4867 yards and a whopping 76 touchdowns. In the 2018 season, he helped North Shore win a Texas class 6a division one state title. He was also named to the 6a first team.
The importance of signing day
Tennessee wants to stress the running game, so the playing time will be unimaginable. As for Georgia since the playoff series, they have always been knocking on the door. Georgia knows they can win Evans over with opening the door to getting NFL ready sooner.
The Volunteers were hoping the Bulldogs would not take part in the Zachary Evans sweepstakes. The visit is late in the game but usually with a player as gifted as he will sign with the better program in Georgia.
