A truly fascinating game of football. This match did not disappoint ,one of the most entertaining stalemates of the season.
Willy Caballero was called into action as Lampard had dropped the Spaniard Kepa ahead of kick off. The veteran Argentinian goalkeeper pulled off a smart save to deny Vardy from giving the foxes the lead. The foxes struggled to gain a foothold during the first half , which saw the blues dominate, however Frank Lampard’s men failed to convert their chances. Chelsea’s inability to put away their chances has been a deterrent for the blues,as they have failed on numerous occasions to pull away from rivals in this top four hunt.
However, a minute into the second half saw the visitors go in front ,with a leaping header by Antonio Rudiger. The German international has now headed his first league goal since October 2018.
Leicester responded not too long after being a goal down as Harvey Barnes found the net 8 minutes later via the huge deflection, before the turnaround was completed as left back Ben Chilwell slotted strike gave the foxes a 2-1 lead in the 64th minute.
Seven minutes later , Rudiger had the last laugh looping a header over Schmeichel to negate Leicester from taking all three points at the king power. In addition , Chelsea have now drawn two consecutive games in the league which now means they are 8 points behind Brendan Rogers side.
