Two of those victories coming by way of TKO/KO, two coming by way of submission, and three coming by way of decision. Madars also has a very impressive amateur record of 7-1, five of those victories came by way of TKO/KO, one by way of submission and one by way of decision.
Full Record

Madars began his professional career in the Almighty Fighting Championship, where he came up against Ashley Gibson. He won this bout by a Guillotine Choke in the very first round. The well-rounded “Latvian Express” has been making waves ever since his first bout and has since gone on to win six fights back-to-back, which has put himself within touching distance of a Cage Warriors title shot.
Madars has shown just how versatile he can be already in his short professional career. He’s displayed the submission offence needed to pressure fighters on the mat but has also shown he has power behind his punches, making him a very dangerous opponent in the Cage Warriors Welterweight division.
After racking up a seven-bout win-streak, Madars is now faced with a Number 1 Contender bout against Adam Proctor (11-1) at Cage Warriors 112. Should he get past a tough opposition in Proctor, he should be next up for the Welterweight title shot.

Q&A
Dylan Thompson – How do you feel ahead of your third Cage Warriors appearance and how important is it for your ambitions to get that eighth win on the bounce?
Madars Fleminas – Winning every fight is very important for me, to win this fight is even more important because the next fight should be for the title. It’s definitely the #1 contender fight and that’s exactly how I am looking at it. Training is going well, I’m feeling confident and I still have a lot of time left to get ready. A lot of people are writing me off before this fight as they have done before my other fights, but I will make sure I bring the fight for sure, the best guy will win.
Dylan Thompson – What is the toughest challenge you have faced to date?
Madars Fleminas – Every fight is tough, I remember my third amateur fight against Samir Zahirovich where I needed to dig deep to get the job done, he was a very well-rounded fighter. But as a professional, every fight is tough, you have smaller gloves and you never know what’s going to happen. That’s why it takes a lot of work to get ready both mentally and physically for every fight.
Dylan Thompson – Where do you see yourself this time next year?
Madars Fleminas – We all know what we’re after, we have all got the same dream to make it big. I definitely see myself in the UFC next year and it doesn’t matter the outcome of my upcoming fight. I will still be in the UFC, I know what I’m capable of doing and I will do it until it’s done.
Dylan Thompson – What originally got you involved in MMA and when did you know this would be the career path you wanted to chase?
Madars Fleminas – I have always been a fan of fighting, whether that be K-1 or MMA. What got me on this career path was my first amateur loss, after this, I promised myself that if I want to fight I need to train to win, not just for fun. I haven’t lost since my first loss. I never thought I would be a professional fighter but I’m doing pretty good and I’m just getting better and better every day, I have goals set and I will not stop until I reach them.
Dylan Thompson – If everything goes to plan against Proctor, who would you like to face next and why?
Madars Fleminas – I obviously want to fight for the title next, whoever the champion may be. My main goal, for now, is to get that title, if it’s Ross Houston, I will fight him but it’s not looking like he wants to fight anytime soon. So whoever is champion at the time, I will fight him. The only way to test yourself is to fight the best guys, that’s the only way to find out what and where I can improve.
