Cage Warriors 112 – Main Card Preview

Cage Warriors makes its highly-anticipated return to action this weekend with their first event of 2020 in Cage Warriors 112. Cage Warriors will be heading to Manchester for this show, which will be their first ever in the city, taking place at the Bowlers Exhibition Centre.

Jack Cartwright vs Manuel Bilić

Headlining this event is local fighter Jack Cartwright (7-0), who will defend his Bantamweight title against Manuel Bilić (15-6). Training out of SBG Manchester, Cartwright won his Bantamweight title in impressive fashion by competing in a one-night tournament, where he managed to finish both Scott Malone and Marko Kovacevic in just over four minutes! Bilić is a very tough opponent and not one that Cartwright can afford to underestimate, he has managed to claim victories in 6 of his last 7 outings. Neither man has a reputation for going the distance, so do not blink on this one.

Madars Fleminas vs Adam Proctor

The co-main event for Cage Warriors 112 is a bout between undefeated Latvian Madars Fleminas (7-0) and SBG South Shields fighter Adam Proctor (11-1). Both fighters are on a current win streak, with Fleminas on seven and Proctor on six. A win for either fighter will surely put them within touching distance of a title shot. Proctor has been making waves over the last few years within the European scene, managing wins in Cage Warriors, ACB and BAMMA. He is now faced with his toughest opponent to date in Fleminas, who is coming off a decision victory against George Hardwick.

James Webb vs Mick Stanton

This weekend also sees the return of former Middleweight champion, James Webb (6-2-1), who begins his journey to reclaiming the title when he faces off with highly-regarded grappler Mick Stanton (6-3). Stanton is on a current three-fight win streak coming into this one and will, without doubt, have his own title ambitions. Claiming a victory this weekend could be pivotal to those ambitions. Webb will know he has to be on top of his game to walk away with a victory this weekend and we could be in for a very entertaining fight.

Martin Stapleton vs Yassine Belhadj

Also featuring on the main card will be local legend Martin Stapleton (19-7) where he will face off against Frenchman Yassine Belhadj (6-2). Stapleton, who fights out of SBG Manchester, is coming into this one on a current two-fight loss-streak and is coming up against a highly-dangerous opponent who fights out of one of France’s top gyms. Belhadj is making his much anticipated Cage Warriors debut and will no doubt be looking to ruin the homecoming party.

Adam Wilson vs Scott Malone

Another massive fight to feature on the main card is between Adam Wilson (4-0) and Scott Malone (6-2). Malone comes into this fight on a current two-fight loss streak but those two losses have come against Jack Shore and Jack Cartwright, with Shore now competing in the UFC and Cartwright now the current champion. He is faced with another tough opponent in Wilson, who is undefeated in his first four outings as a professional. Wilson will see this as a perfect opportunity to take that to five in a row, however, he will know that this will be a tough fight, with both fighters having a 50% TKO/KO rate.

My Main Card Predictions

Cartwright, Fleminas, Webb, Stapleton and Wilson all to get the victories.
