Jordan Ta’amu to the Chicago Bears needs to happen this offseason. He is an XFL star, and a former Ole Miss starting quarterback that deserves his shot in the NFL, so the Chicago Bears would be wise to give him that opportunity. He’s 6’3 220 pounds and only 22 years old with a lot of untapped potential. He was the number one quarterback coming out of college last year along with Kyler Murray, Dwayne Haskins, and Jarrett Stidham, but he never got the recognition that he deserved. His athleticism, accuracy, and leadership are what you look for in a quarterback. And nothing he’s done so far in the XFL has proved that to be wrong.
St. Louis BattleHawks
Ta’amu has completed 82 out of 109 for a completion percentage of 75% for 876 passing yards with five touchdowns this season. All while rushing for 186 yards, which is fifth-best in the entire league. It’s really cool that he’s gotten this opportunity to prove himself to America and to the NFL evaluators, most importantly. And most likely by now, they have officially begun to take notice of what kind of talent he really has. One of those talent evaluators hopefully being Ryan Pace, the General Manager for the Chicago Bears.
Ryan Pace would be smart to give him a shot this year and let Jordan Ta’amu compete with Mitch Trubisky. Another veteran quarterback such as Marcus Mariota could be another option. If they do that and be patient with him, Ryan Pace might find himself a diamond in the rough that could lead the Bears into a brighter future at the quarterback position. A kind of future this organization has been dreaming about for far too long.
