XFL Players the Chicago Bears Should Target

The XFL officially announced they will not be playing the rest of their regular-season games due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak. In doing so, the XFL advised their players to sign immediately with the NFL if possible once their exit physicals are completed on March 13. There are quite a few stars in the XFL that could find a place in the NFL. The best thing about all of these players is they will come relatively cheap. Here are some of XFL Players the Chicago Bears should target.

PJ Walker, Quarterback, Houston Roughnecks

The Houston Roughnecks were an offensive powerhouse for the five weeks the XFL was in session. The key component to that is the play of quarterback PJ Walker. PJ Walker led the XFL in passing yards with 1,338 yards while throwing for 15 touchdowns and only 4 interceptions. He posted an impressive 104.4 passer rating as well while under the helm for the Roughnecks. He was crucial to the Roughnecks’ absolutely dominant offense in the XFL that put up at least 27 points in every single game. Phillips makes some crazy plays and could bring some interesting competition to struggling quarterback Mitchell Trubisky.

Cam Phillips, Wide Receiver, Houston Roughnecks

Because of Walker’s impressive performances, Cam Phillips took advantage of his ability the most. To say Phillips has been dominant in the XFL is an understatement. In five games, Phillips caught 31 passes for 455 yards and nine touchdowns. He led the XFL in both receiving yards and touchdowns. Phillips isn’t a burner by any means, but he is a very solid possession receiver that could bring some depth to the Chicago Bears’ receiving core.

Donald Parnham, Tight End, Dallas Renegades

Donald Parnham is an absolute freak of nature. Parnham is a total mismatch nightmare making him very successful in the XFL. Parnham towers over most at 6’8″ 240 pounds and was clocked at 21.1 mph on a touchdown run during week three of the XFL. During his time in the XFL, Parnham was third in receiving yards with 307 and notched four touchdowns as well. Parnham already spent some time in Detroit and Washington, but seeing the Chicago Bears’ tight end room, they could use some competition.
