Believe. Anybody in the presence of 22-year-old Oban Elliott are definitely left believing. With a pro record of 3-0-0 and a amateur record of 6-0-0, Oban has yet to leave it to the judges, every win coming withing the distance. He most recently finished James Lilley in Round 1 of Cage Warriors 108, via rear-naked choke.

EARLY DAYS

Coming from Merthyr, South Wales, Oban started following in the footsteps of his father Paul, who, himself, was a amateur boxer. Oban and his older brother would get taken to various different martial arts. Unfortunately, at 7-years-old, he suffered the passing of his father Paul. Knowing it is something his father would want, Oban has focused and dedicated his life to MMA, and in tribute, Oban carries a Welsh flag emblazoned with his dad’s name into every fight.

TRAINING

A normal day for Oban starts at 5am, when he gets up to go running, before starting his full-time job for the day as a labourer. From work, Oban goes straight to Shore MMA, where the real work begins. Training with the likes of UFC fighters Jack Shore and Jack Marshman, along with numerous Cage Warriors fighters, Oban is setting himself up for greatness.

March 28th, 2020

We will next see Oban at Ebbw Vale sports centre on 28th of March, with Cage Warriors Wales Academy. He’ll meet Shaun Luther (4-4-0). What can we expect to see, having trained during this training camp with UFC fighters Shore, Marshman, Brett Johns and Jai Herbert. Oban is pushing himself harder than ever before on his pursuit of greatness. A win here puts Oban one step closer to challenging for the Cage Warriors championship and, hopefully, a spot on Cage Warriors Cardiff in June.

Who would bet against Oban coming away. with another finish here, going on to challenge for the championship by the end of 2020. It is the year of Oban Elliott. It is time to BELIEVE.
