Cowboys Reach A New Deal With Amari Cooper

The free-agent market for wide receivers has been crazy. Big moves like DeAndre Hopkins to the Cardinals and Stefon Diggs to the Bills happened today. Therefore, it seems like another move couldn’t be on the same level. Amari Cooper decided to change that.

Leave that to Jerry Jones to try and change that. Star wide receiver Amari Cooper is returning to the Cowboys on a 5-year, $100 million deal, according to Adam Schefter. Cooper will get $60 million guaranteed. Rumors of Cooper heading to the open market released a while ago. Also, reports came out of the Redskins trying to sign him before the Cowboys could.

Cooper is coming off a 1,000 yard receiving season for the Cowboys. Above all, he will continue to be a reliable target for franchised tagged quarterback Dak Prescott. Cooper was acquired in a trade from the Raiders back in 2018.
