Per Ian Rapoport, Ereck Flowers has signed a three-year deal worth $30 million with Miami. He was drafted ninth overall by the Giants in 2015. He was released in 2018 due to underperforming.
The Jacksonville Jaguars picked him up for the remainder of 2018 before Flowers signed a one year, $4 million deal with the Redskins. It was there that he turned his career around after transitioning to left guard.
That transition was a smart move by Washington. After a bounceback year in 2019, Flowers hit the free agency market. He will now be a Miami Dolphin.
Flowers was born in Miami, Florida and played college ball at the University of Miami. He is returning home to play his professional ball there. The Dolphins have a plethora of cap space and this is a signing that they hope will lock down one spot along their offensive line.
