The Jets have officially signed former Seattle Seahawks offensive tackle George Fant to a three-year deal worth 30 million dollars. With a little over 13 million in guaranteed money.
The Jets’ biggest need is on the offensive line and they filled it in a big way. Fant is 6’5 322 pounds out of the University of Western Kentucky.
After college, he was then signed as an undrafted free agent in the 2016 season by the Seattle Seahawks. He’s very athletic for his size. Fant ran a 4.84 40 yard dash at the combine.
Overall, this is a very good signing for the New York Jets and Sam Darnold, most importantly. The Jets and General Manager Joe Douglas still have a lot of work left to do. Including more at offensive line, Wide Receiver.
