The NFL is full of family ties and brothers going at one another week in and week out. The Watt family has been graced with three NFL caliber players. Firstly, there’s JJ on the Texans, then TJ slotted in at linebacker for the Steelers. The third and forgotten brother, Derek, is moving locations.

The Steelers have reached a deal with Derek Watt, uniting him with his brother TJ. Derek played fullback for the Los Angeles Chargers from 2016 -2019.
Derek’s deal is worth roughly $3.5 million per year. He had a sole touchdown last season, with only seven rushing attempts and 32 passing yards. Derek was formidable at blocking and creating rushing lanes, however. The Steelers will look to utilize that to help improve their rushing game.
If at nothing else, it will leave for some brotherly banter.
