Shaq Barrett

After leading the NFL in sacks with 19.5, Shaq Barrett is ready to get PAID!! And from every indication, it looks like the Buccaneers are willing to do whatever it takes to make Barrett a long term piece. Barrett wasn’t just a great pass rusher for the Bucs, he was a key contributor on the NFL’s best rush defense. At just 27 years old, expect Barrett to receive a deal in the five-year range.

Final Prediction: Extended- Five-years and $90M ($68M Guaranteed)

Bud Dupree

Bud Dupree had a breakout season in the final year of his rookie contract. The Steelers are a team with very little cap space. Unfortunately for Dupree, he isn’t viewed as one of the main long term pieces on the Steelers defense. Those players are T.J. Watt, Minkah Fitzpatrick, and Devin Bush. Under the Tag Dupree is set to make $15,828,000 next season. This will likely be the most money Dupree will ever make in a season. Dupree is still young enough to get a long term deal next season. He should run to the Steelers facility to sign the deal after the Coronavirus.

Final Prediction: Play out the Year

A.J. Green

Rumors were swirling that potential first overall pick Joe Burrow told the Bengals that he would like to play with A.J. Green. To make the future franchise Quarterback happy, the Bengals kept their long time franchise Wide Receiver. Green hasn’t been able to stay healthy for quite some time. Entering his age 32 season, Green could be looking for one last multi-year deal. The Bengals are a team that is known for taking care of there own. If Green can stay healthy in 2020-2021, don’t be surprised in they work out a two-year deal after the season.

Final Prediction: Play out the Year

Chris Jones

For my money, Chris Jones is the second-best defensive tackle in the NFL after Aaron Donald. The Chiefs are in a difficult situation when it comes to how they allocate their cap space. Patrick Mahomes will soon be the highest-paid player in the NFL when he is eligible. And the Chiefs gave Frank Clark, Tyrann Mathieu, and Tyreek Hill big deals over the past year. The Chiefs might have to do the Jones what they did the Dee Ford last season. Tag and trade him for the best offer.

Final Prediction: Traded (Dolphins and Lions)

Matt Judon

The Baltimore Ravens have a great history of developing edge rushers. With a newly constructed defensive line in Calais Campbell, Michael Brockers, and Brandon Williams, the Ravens may very well view Matt Judon expendable. Yes, Judon can play outside linebacker, but the Ravens have always been confident in filling that position. Besides Yannick Ngakoue, I feel most confident in predicting Judon to be moved.

Final Prediction: Traded (Seahawks and Bills)

Anthony Harris

Anthony Harris had a breakout 2019 season leading the NFL in Interceptions. The Vikings are a team that has many of there core players locked up. With Harris being potentially a one year wonder, it would be smart for the Vikings to make him prove his worth. If Harris shows consistent value, the Vikings should have no problem locking Harris up to a lucrative extension.

Final Prediction: Play out the Year

Derrick Henry

The past two years, Derrick Henry has been the face of the Titans to close the season. Just dominating in the month of November and December. Henry has earned a massive payday, unfortunately, it likely won’t be as much as he would like. If we have learned anything over the years, running backs don’t get the money they think they’re worth. The Titans and Henry will come to a mutual agreement, keeping the star running back in Tennessee for the rest of his prime.

Final Prediction: Extended- Three-years and $50M ($38M Guaranteed)

Hunter Henry

Over the years Hunter Henry has been one of the most injury-prone Tight Ends in the NFL. Fortunately for Henry, he is extremely talented. The Chargers see the upside in Henry and made sure they had an opportunity to potentially see Henry play a fully healthy season again. If Henry doesn’t stay healthy in 2020, expect the Chargers to move on after the season.

Final Prediction: Play out the Year

Yannick Ngakoue

Very few young pass rushers have the upside that Yannick Ngakoue has. Over the first four years of his career, Ngakoue has had 37.5 sacks. The Jaguars and Ngakoue seem destined to be headed towards a divorce. Like many former Jaguars, Ngakoue has a strained relationship with their front office. If only one aged player was gonna get traded, I would put money on Ngakoue. Some team is about to bless there roster with a young stud.

Final Prediction: Traded (Jets and Bills)

Dak Prescott

Jerry Jones will not let Dak Prescott leave the Dallas Cowboys. Prescott played like a top ten quarterback last season. From what we have seen from Prescott, I truly believe the Cowboys can win a super bowl with him leading the team. With many key players locked up on the Cowboys roster, expect the Cowboys to give Prescott an offer that tops Jared Goff‘s $36M per year.

Final Prediction: Extended- Five-years and $190M ($135M guaranteed)

Brandon Scherff

Brandon Scherff is another player who was tagged that has an extensive injury history. The former top-five pick has given top five value when he has been on the field. If I was the Redskins, I would extend Scherff right now. Unfortunately, I have a feeling both sides won’t be able to come to a long term deal. Once again, if Scherff stays healthy, he will receive a massive contract next season.

Final Prediction: Play out the Year

Justin Simmons

Over the past two seasons, Justin Simmons has been fantastic. Coming just short of 100 tackles both years. Over the past couple of years, we have seen that top safeties get around 14M a year. The production Simmons brings to the table is worth that 14M average yearly value.

Final Prediction: Extended Four-years and $58M ($44M Guaranteed)

Joe Thuney

If I was the Patriots, I would lock Thuney up. Unfortunately, that’s just not how they’ve typically done business. sense being drafted, Thuney has been one of the best Guards in the NFL. No matter if the Quarterback is Tom Brady or not, this team needs to protect that position. The Patriots are a team that values day two picks. Expect a team to give up those picks for the pro bowl worthy Guard.

Final Prediction: Traded (Bengals and Vikings)

Leonard Williams

The Giants did this to themselves. They gave up to much in the midseason trade with the Jets. Now they have to keep Leonard Williams to save face. Williams is the player that has shown the least of the 14 players tagged. Maybe Williams can finally breakout, but I’m not willing to bet on that happening.
