Karl Joseph Agrees to Terms with Browns

The Cleveland Browns continue to spend money on this free agency. The Cleveland Browns agree to terms with former first-round safety Karl Joseph according to Josina Anderson.

According to Adam Schefter, the deal is only for one year.

Karl Joseph got drafted 14th overall in 2016 by the Oakland, now Las Vegas, Raiders. Joseph struggled with injuries basically every season in Oakland including a season-ending injury last season.

The Browns are getting a solid box safety who isn’t a ball hawk by any means. On the other hand, Joseph is very good at defending the run. Pro Football Focus named him a top-35 safety the past two seasons and named him one of the best at defending the run. Joseph should replace Damarious Randall who just became a free agent this season.
