Ha Ha Clinton-Dix Signs with the Cowboys

After signing to a one year deal with the Chicago Bears, it seemed that Ha Ha Clinton-Dix was bound for a new team. The safety is leaving the Windy City for America’s Team.

Ha Ha Clinton-Dix is returning to old head coach Mike McCarthy on a one year deal worth $4 million, with $2.5 million guaranteed. It seemed that the Bears could have made a similar deal, but want to find someone else on a long term contract.

Clinton-Dix is coming off a solid year for the Bears. He had two interceptions, including a pick-six. He also played all 16 games. All-Pro safety Eddie Jackson a max deal this summer, and it seemed unlikely the two Alabama prospects would reunite.

This move will allow the Bears to shift back Jackson to his natural spot at free safety. It will also equate to a 4th round comp pick come 2021. For the Cowboys, they get a stud defensive back who knows McCarthy’s system, after losing Byron Jones in free agency.
