Bears Agree to Terms with Barkevious Mingo

The Chicago Bears continue to reload on defense. The Bears agree to terms with linebacker Barkevious Mingo first reported by Ian Rapoport.

Barkevious Mingo has been around in the NFL, but he is a veteran that adds solid depth to this already deep Bears’ defense. Mingo spent his first three seasons in Cleveland before moving around to four different teams in as many seasons. Mingo is also a former first-round pick from the 2013 NFL Draft.

The Bears currently have only two of their main inside linebackers returning in Roquan Smith and Danny Trevathan. They also have two very good outside linebackers in Khalil Mack and Robert Quinn. This will help them not only with depth, but in special teams as well as he

Mingo is a solid special teams player. He will help fill the void left by inside linebackers Nick Kwiatkoski and Kevin Pierre-Louis on special teams. He can also play outside linebacker as well as inside linebacker.
