Per sources, the Eagles have an agreement on a one-year deal with cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman. Coleman has spent the last three seasons of his career as a member of the Los Angeles Rams. He was originally drafted by Buffalo in 2013, where he spent the first four seasons of his career.
Robey-Coleman primarily plays as a nickelback, and will provide solid depth to the Eagles secondary. It’s possible he may play on the outside this season, with Cre-Von Leblanc and Avonte Maddox also playing as slot cornerbacks.
Robey-Coleman is most remembered for his infamous no-call in the Saints, Rams playoff game back in the 2019 NFC Championship. His should-have-been PI call set into action the new pass interference challenge rules.
GM Howie Roseman has been busy with defensive backs this whole offseason. He’s already acquired two other new defensive backs in Darius Slay and Will Parks. Now he needs to go out and adress the wide receiver issue.
