About a week or two I revealed my first five picks of the 2020 NFL Draft. Now, even though the draft has been moved, it will still be held. With that said, here is my next NFL mock draft featuring picks six through ten.
Pick 6: Los Angeles Chargers
After 16 seasons with the Chargers Philip Rivers has now signed with the Indianapolis Colts by way of free agency, the Los Angeles Chargers are now looking for another quarterback. That is why I think that Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert will be a good fit.
Pick 7: Carolina Panthers
Unfortunately, one of the Panthers best fits TackleTristan Wirfs is going to the Cleveland Browns at the number ten according to my mock draft. The good news is that there a few options for the Panthers. Like selecting linebacker Isaiah Simmons from the 2019 runner-up Clemson Tigers. The Panthers were ranked second to last (31) in defensive scoring and 23rd on total yards on defense. Drafting Simmons will give the Panthers depth and an edge on defense.
Pick 8: Arizona Cardinals
Kyler Murray of the Arizona Cardinals knows a thing or two about wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. The duo’s last season was in 2018 when Murray was a senior and Lamb was a sophomore. Having CeeDee Lamb on the roster might help Murray’s confidence where he can play as he did in college.
Pick 9: Jacksonville Jaguars
Last year the Jacksonville Jaguars defense was ranked in the low 20’s. So, to beef up their defense, they plan on drafting Alburn defensive lineman Derrick Brown. Last year, he had 55 total tackles, four passes defended, and four sacks to end his college football career. Jacksonville hopes with numbers like that, they will make a splash in the. playoffs.
Pick 10: Cleveland Browns
It’s a pretty safe bet that the Browns are going to address their needs on the offensive line with their first round pick. Fortunately for the Browns, there’s a chance they could have their pick between Wills and Louisville’s Mekhi Becton when they are on the clock with the 10th overall pick. The Browns should also take advantage of a deep tight end class after David Njoku’s injury-marred 2019 season.
In free agency, the Browns should consider finding players with championship experience, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. While Cleveland has a talented roster, a lack of veteran maturity and experience was one reason why the Browns failed to live up to high preseason expectations last season.
Let me know your thoughts on picks six-ten of my NFL mock draft.
