Punter Matt Haack signs his restricted free agent tender with the Miami Dolphins on April 1st, 2020.

Matt Haack Stats

Matt Haack has been the starting punter for three seasons with the Dolphins, and with this signing, this will become his fourth season with the team. Since being picked up in 2017, Haack has not missed a game in his career. Haack averaged 45 yards per punt last season, which is a bit more than he has had the past two seasons. He only punted the ball 69 times this season compared to 2018, where he punted 87 times. Haack is an average NFL punter, and I expect him to stay with the team for a couple more years. Haack is only 25 years old and has a lot of time to be able to punt in the NFL.

This is another money-saving move made by the Miami Dolphins. They get to have a decent punter under contract for a small price. They could have their franchise punter in Haack since he is only 25, and he will not be going anywhere soon if he keeps taking a small amount of money from the team.
