Miami Dolphins’ Pick No. 39: Robert Hunt

With the 39th pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins selected guard, Robert Hunt. Hunt can play guard and tackle, which is two positions the Dolphins need.

Robert Hunt adds some needed depth to the Miami Dolphins interior offensive line. Hunt will be able to compete with Ereck Flowers, Jesse Davis, and Julie’n Davenport. The Dolphins struggled on the offensive line because they allowed 58 sacks last season, which was the worst in the NFL. With the addition of Hunt, Austin Jackson, and Ereck Flowers, via free agency, the Dolphins offensive line has tremendously gotten better.

Hunt will be a good offensive lineman who can play both guard and tackle for the Dolphins. Most likely he will be a back up to begin the season unless they move him to offensive tackle. He could beat out Davenport and allow Davis to move back to guard. Overall this was a good move for the Miami Dolphins and you can never have too many offensive linemen.
