With the 56th pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins selected defensive tackle, Raekwon Davis. Davis is good at stopping the run and can be a good rotation defensive lineman for the Dolphins.
Miami Dolphins’ Pick No. 56: Raekwon Davis
Raekwon Davis adds some depth to the Miami Dolphins interior defensive line. Currently, the only nose tackle on the depth chart is Davon Godchaux. Davis will most likely play back up nose tackle but will be a rotation player for the Dolphins. The Dolphins lacked a lot on defense last season, but with the addition of Davis, the defense will be a bit better.
In his senior season, Davis racked up 47 tackles, three tackles for loss, and a half of a sack. He will not be a good pass rusher for the Dolphins but will help out with the run stuff. The Dolphins allowed 2,166 rushing yards last season, which was one of the worst in the NFL. Overall this was a positive move for the Dolphins and it will help with the interior defensive line depth.
