With the 185th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins selected long snapper, Blake Ferguson.
Miami Dolphins’ Pick No. 185: Blake Ferguson
Blake Ferguson will most likely be the starting long snapper for the Miami Dolphins. He played four seasons at LSU as a long snapper. Ferguson was the first long snapper taken in the 2020 NFL Draft. John Denney had been the Miami Dolphins’ starting long snapper from 2005 to 2018. With Denney out of the league, Taybor Pepper had served that role for the team last season. Now, it appears Ferguson will have the job going forward,
He started all four of his seasons as the LSU long snapper, so he will be a good long snapper for the Dolphins. The Miami Dolphins were in need of a long snapper to start next season, so Ferguson will be a good addition to the team. Overall this was a surprise pick made by the Miami Dolphins, but it satisfied a need for the team.
