The Miami Dolphins waived former first-round pick, defensive end, Taco Charlton on April 30th, 2020.

Taco Charlton played ten games for the Dolphins last season and he started five of them. He was an alright edge rusher for the Dolphins racking up five sacks, 21 tackles, and two forced fumbles. The Dolphins signed Charlton before the 2020 NFL season.

With the additions of edge rushers Emmanuel Ogbah, Shaq Lawson and Jason Strowbridge, this move was not a surprising one. Charlton has been a disappointing first-round pick, so far in his career, which is the main reason the Dolphins have chosen to move on from him. Overall, the Dolphins made a good decision cutting Charlton and this frees up another roster spot on the team.
