The Miami Dolphins traded former first-round pick, defensive end, Charles Harris in exchange for a Falcons seventh-round pick if he makes the roster.
In his three years with the Dolphins, Charles Harris racked up 3.5 sacks, 23 tackles, and six quarterback hits. He was a bit disappointing for the Dolphins after being a first-round pick in 2017. Harris is 24 years old and still has some time to be able to grow into a solid depth player.
The Dolphins added lots of depth to the edge rusher position, including Emmanuel Ogbah, Shaq Lawson, Curtis Weaver, and Jason Strowbridge. Harris never played to his potential in the NFL, which is the main reason he is getting traded to the Falcons. Overall, this was a solid move for the Dolphins. They could possibly get a seventh-round pick for a player who wasn’t going to make the roster anyway.
