Andy Dalton Makes First Comments After Release


On Thursday, Andy Dalton was released by the Cincinnati Bengals after being their starting quarterback for nine seasons.

In an interview with ESPN, he talked about what he thought about being released on Thursday. Here is what he said.

“This year there were a good amount of quarterbacks that were available,” Dalton said when asked about potential trade options in a story published by on Friday night. “I think it would have worked out differently if I had been a free agent when the new league year started. I was still under contract and that hurt me.”

During his time in Ohio, Andy Dalton is the leader in passing touchdowns (204), has the second-most passing yards in team history (31.54), and has the most fourth-quarter comebacks in team history (20). He also went to the Pro Bowl three times.
