Miami Dolphins’, fifth-round pick, Curtis Weaver has agreed to terms on his rookie contract per Barry Jackson.

The Miami Dolphins selected Curtis Weaver with the 164th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. In Weaver’s junior season at Boise State, he racked up 13.5 sacks, 19.5 tackles for loss, and 52 combined tackle. Weaver will be competing for a starting pass-rushing position on the Dolphins in the 2020 NFL season. Also, Weaver had one interception and one forced fumble in his junior season.

The Dolphins added many pass rushers this free agency season, including Emmanuel Ogbah, Shaq Lawson, and Kyle Van Noy. He will have an opportunity to compete against all of the skilled pass rushers on the Dolphins. Also, the Dolphins drafted, defensive end, Jason Strowbridge, which will add some more competition to the Dolphins edge rusher position. Overall, the Dolphins have a potential steal of the draft in Weaver because of his next-level edge-rushing skill.
