Miami Dolphins’ fifth-round selection Jason Strowbridge has agreed to his rookie contract per source.
The Miami Dolphins selected Jason Strowbridge with the 154th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. In Strowbridge’s senior season, he racked up 44 tackles, six tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks. Strowbridge will be competing for a defensive line or defensive end position on the 53 man roster. Also, Strowbridge has one forced fumble in his senior season.
The Dolphins added many proven pass rushers this free agency season, including Emmanuel Ogbah, Shaq Lawson, and Kyle Van Noy. Also, the Dolphins drafted defensive end, Curtis Weaver, in the 2020 NFL Draft. While Strowbridge will not be much of a pass rusher in the NFL, he will most likely compete to be more of a run stopper. Strowbridge can play all positions on the defensive line, and he will add some run-stopper depth to a main edge-rushing defensive line. Overall, Strowbridge will continue to help the Dolphins defensive line become better and better each season.
