The Miami Dolphins have signed defensive lineman, Raekwon Davis to a four-year rookie deal.
The Miami Dolphins selected Raekwon Davis with the 56th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Davis will add some depth to the nose tackle position. Currently, the starting nose tackle is Davon Godchaux, but any defensive lineman could start at the position. Benito Jones is an undrafted free agent who will also, compete for the position as a defensive tackle on the Dolphins.
In his senior season, Davis racked up 47 total tackles, three tackles for loss, and 0.5 sacks. He played for Alabama in his four years in college, which shows he has more experience than most other draftees. Davis has an elite height, weights, and length for an NFL defensive lineman. On the other hand, his main con is he loses track of the football at times, but he will build as a player. Overall, Davis will be a good addition to one of the youngest defensive lines in the NFL.
