Fight fans, the UFC seems to be back in full swing. Putting together fight night cards, as well as big PPV events. The conclusion of UFC 250, has fans from around the world looking forward to UFC Fight Night Eye vs Calvillo. In this article, we will be taking a look at the opening fight on the main card, Jordan Espinosa vs Mark De La Rosa.
UFC Fight Night Preview: Jordan Espinosa vs Mark De La Rosa
Jordan Espinosa
Jumping right into it, we first look at Jordan Espinosa. Jordan has fought in the Dana White Contender Series, winning in season 2, week 4. From that point, Espinosa then went on to his UFC debut the following year in 2019. That fight, he ended up winning via unanimous decision. Despite the dominant decision victory, Espinosa has lost back to back fights, both by submission.
As Jordan enters this fight hailing from the UFC Apex, he is looking to right his ship. Besides the experience factor, Espinosa will have the reach advantage over De La Rosa. Submission defense had to be a priority in camp, has Espinosa overcome this brick wall?

Mark De La Rosa
Next up the young bantamweight, Mark De La Rosa. Mark made his UFC debut back in December of 2017. It was here, he ultimately lost via submission by Tim Elliott. He then would channel this loss into a successful 2018, in which he gained wins over Elias Garcia and Joby Sanchez. And from that point forward, it hasn’t been pretty for the Muay Thai specialist. De La Rosa is now winless in his last three fights.
Lucky for De La Rosa, his opponent in Espinosa is also in a win slump. Which could pay dividends for both men coming into the fight. Who will break out of their slump, and just how will they do it? I’m riding with Mark De La Rosa, as he hopes for a finish this Saturday night.
