Junior College Standout El Ellis Commits to Louisville.


El Ellis made it official today and committed to Louisville. Chris Mack lands one of the top Junior College stars in the country. Ellis chose the Cardinals over Oregon, Ole Miss, Iowa State, UConn, Georgia, Texas Tech, and NC Central. With Ellis committing to Louisville, Chris Mack now has three commitments for his 2021 class. Last season at Tallahassee Community College, Ellis averaged 14.3 points, 4.5 assists, and 3.9 rebounds a game. He shot a very respectable 40.3 percent from three. Chris Mack can use Ellis at either guard spot next season. He can be the main ball handler or he can off the ball if needed next season.

A lot of schools wanted Ellis. He held scholarship offers from NC State, Arizona State, UConn, Texas A&M, and many other schools. On June 12th, Ellis announced his final eight schools. Today Ellis announced he would be attending the University of Louisville.

Ellis is a 2021 recruit. He will play one more season at Tallahassee Community College before enrolling at Louisville the following season. El Ellis will have two years of college eligibility when he steps on campus for the Cardinals. Ellis joins four stars Bryce Hopkins and Bobby Pettiford for Louisville’s 2021 class.
