The Denver Broncos have had several key additions to their team. They are a team that can compete against Kansas City for the AFC West. There are three huge questions that need to be addressed if they plan on having a huge season.
Who Will Step Up at CB?
With Chris Harris Jr. gone from the team, the next step is to look at who will be the starting corners. Denver traded for AJ Bouye, from Jacksonville. Bryce Callahan coming back from injury makes it hard to predict what will happen. They also have Isaac Yiadom and newly-drafted Michael Ojemudia that could play in some packages. We haven’t seen either Bouye or Callahan on Denver’s defense, so could replacing Harris Jr. possibly be that easy?
Will Number 72 Improve?

The offensive line looked a lot better when Drew Lock took over. With a more mobile QB, it took some pressure off the big guys up front. One, in particular, is Garett Bolles. The former 1st round pick has had some trouble the last couple years, leading the NFL in holding in 2017, 2018 and tied for 4th in 2019. Bolles got better at the end of the season when Drew ran the offense. This will be a big year for him, as the Broncos didn’t pick up his 5th-year option. If this team is going to be good, and number 72 wants another contract, this is the year to show it.
How Will Lock Do Being the Starter?
Drew Lock looked good during his last 5 games. He went 4-1, with his one loss to the Super Bowl Champs. He also had 1020 yards, 7 TDs and 3 Ints. Pat Shurmur really likes Drew and will hopefully put him in an offense that will best use his abilities. Now that teams have film, they can scheme against him. It is the ultimate test for this young QB to show us if he is the real deal, or if Denver is going to have to look elsewhere for a Franchise QB.

The Broncos have a lot of new additions to this year’s team. A new offensive coordinator, a new full-time QB, a new CB group, a new WR group, and many more. This team will be fun to watch and it will be interesting to see how the year plays out.
