Cleveland Browns Sign Third Rounder Jordan Elliott

The Cleveland Browns have signed defensive tackle Jordan Elliott. They now have signed four of their seven 2020 draft picks, including tight end Harrison Bryant, center Nick Harris, and wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones.

Jordan Elliott | DT | Missouri

Elliott finished his 2019 season with 44 total tackles, 8.5 for loss, 2.5 sacks, three passes defended. He also brings great size and athleticism to the line at 6-4 and 315 pounds. He earned first-team All-America honors from Pro Football Focus and was a second-team All-American by the Associated Press in 2019. Elliot finished his Mizzou career with 68 total tackles, 5.5 sacks, four pass breakups, one forced fumble and one blocked kick.

Elliott’s Potential

Per PFF 91.4, his pass grade is the highest a defensive tackle has graded since 2017. He also had an 18.7 percent pass rush win rate, which places him in the top five over the last five years of players with 250 or more pass-rush snaps. Every other player on that list was a first-round pick. Elliott has only one full year as a starter under his belt and will need to be coached up. The talent is there to have an impact early in his NFL career.

The Browns still need to complete deals with first-round pick Jedrick Wills Jr., second-rounder Grant Delpit, and their second third-rounder, Jacob Phillips, before, hopefully, camp starts at the end of the month.
