Red Sox to host Blue Jays for Two Exhibition Matchups

The Red Sox will be hosting the Toronto Blue Jays for two exhibition games on July 21 and 22, the team announced Friday.

It will be good for each team to experience some games before actually kicking off the season on the 24th of July. For both games, the first pitch is scheduled for 7:30 PM EST.

Last year, Boston won the season series with a record of 11-8 against Toronto. However, bear in mind that both teams, especially the Red Sox, have made dramatic changes to their roster.

It will be interesting to see how both teams approach these games. Whether that means using their aces or pitching their prospects. This could go the same way with the lineup. Will teams treat it like it is Opening Day, where they’ll have the studs play both games, or will they give other players the chance to compete like it’s a normal spring training game. Either way, it should be interesting and exciting.

These two exhibition games will be a great benchmark for both teams to see where they are at. We can only hope it prepares the Red Sox for a successful regular season this year.

On the 24th, the Red Sox will be starting off their regular season at home against the Baltimore Orioles. The Blue Jays will kick off the 2020 campaign by heading down to Tampa to take on the Rays. Baseball is right upon us folks.
