After months of rumors, the Jadon Sancho transfer saga seems to be over. Manchester United are ready to pay the €120 million fee to sign the young English star. Likely due to COVID-19, the Red Devils would rather pay for the transfer in installments.
According to reports out of England, Manchester United & Borussia Dortmund are in advanced stages of negotiations for a Jadon Sancho deal. The two sides are close to agreeing on personal terms, which are reported to be a five year deal.
Dortmund are asking for €120m ($141m) in return for Sancho, but may be willing to accept a deal that includes less money up front. However, the German club are demanding the offer be submitted by August 10th, when Dortmund are set to begin their pre-season campaign.
German newspaper BILD report that United will pay 70 million euros, with 50 million euros being paid in addition over the next few years.
In 32 games for Dortmund in the Bundesliga last season, Sancho scored 17 goals & assisted 17. Sancho has two years left on his Dortmund contract.
