New York Yankees Winning Streak Continues

The New York Yankees winning streak continues, as they beat the Boston Red Sox by a score of 9-7 on Sunday. It was a crazy, high powered offensive game, as both teams put up runs last night.

JAMES PAXTON

Unfortunately, Paxton didn’t pitch well at all last night. His velocity is still not at the 95-mph mark that he was pitching at in the second half of last season. The four-seam fastball he throws was only clocked at 91.4 mph which is a far cry from 95 mph.

GARY SANCHEZ

Catcher Gary Sanchez finally got his first RBI of the season. In the third inning, he hit a double to deep right field on an 87 mph fastball which scored Giancarlo Stanton.

Although he started out the season 0 for 15 with 10 strikeouts, I don’t think you should give up on him. Hopefully, this is the start of something special for him on the offensive side, just like in 2017 when he had 33 home runs and 90 RBI.

AARON JUDGE

Aaron Judge had two home runs along with five RBI. He has been on an absolute tear this season, as all of his six home runs have tied the game or given the Yankees the lead. The streak of five straight games with a home run still continues as it puts him in elite company with Alex Rodriguez.

So far, Aaron is looking like an American League MVP candidate this season, just like in 2017 when he was the runner up for the prestigious award.

The New York Yankees are now tied for their best start ever with a 7-1 record.
