Early Top 25 College Basketball Rankings- Rankings 15-11

The Overtime Heroics team has come up with their own top 25 rankings, and has released rankings 25-16. Now, it is finally time to release part of the top 15 teams in the country. Here are the rankings 15-11.

15. North Carolina Tar Heels

The 2019-20 season was not what you usually see from a Roy Williams squad, but it did happen. North Carolina nearly finished dead last inside of the ACC last season, and was not making the NCAA tournament. They lose Cole Anthony, but the team should be back on track come November. Williams brings in a top three recruiting class, highlighting 5-star players Day’Ron Sharpe, Walker Kessler, and Caleb Love. The Tar Heels also brings back some veterans in Garrison Brooks and Armando Bacot. They should see the top of the ACC again.

14. West Virginia Mountaineers

Bob Huggins’ team finished in the top ten of the KenPom rankings and finished up there in the Big 12 a season ago, and now they return their top three players as well. Oscar Tshiebwe returns after averaging some good numbers last season for Bob Huggins. He averaged 11 points and 9 rebounds which should increase next year. The Mountaineers should fight for a Big 12 title with Baylor and Kansas.

13. Houston Cougars

After taking a share of the regular season title in 2019-2020, the Cougars are looking to do the same here in 2020-2021. Kelvin Sampson loses two of his top scorers, one was Nate Hinton who left, and Fabin White has a torn ACL. But Houston still has four of the top six returning including Caleb Hills and Quentin Grimes.

12. Michigan State Spartans

A lot of things went on during the off-season for Izzo and the Spartans. Obviously, Cassius Winston, the Second Team All American left, and now we know Xavier Tillman has kept his name in the NBA draft. That is a huge loss for the Spartans after what they did last season. Michigan State brings back Aaron Henry, Rocket Watts, and Josh Langford which is enough power for Izzo to make another run.

11. Tennessee Volunteers

Tennessee is already bringing back a very experienced roster, and now they add two 5-stars to the roster. Jaden Springer and Keon Johnson are bringing the young firepower that the Vols need to take the regular-season SEC title and make a run the NCAA tournament.

That just about wraps up rankings 15-11. Make sure to tune in next time for the release of the start of the TOP TEN.
