Creighton lost two pretty big pieces to its team this past season. First, guard Davion Mintz transfered out of the program and joined Kentucky. He did not play last season due to an injury but was expected to be a pretty big piece to the team this upcoming season. Then, Star guard Ty-Shon Alexander decided to keep his name in the NBA draft. He averaged 16.9 ppg and 5.0 assist last season. Even with losing two really solid players, Coach McDermott is bringing back four star starters from last years team including talented guards Marcus Zegarowski and Mitchell Ballock. Creighton will be one of the best teams in the Big East this upcoming season.

9. Duke Blue Devils

Vernon Carey, Tre Jones, and Cassius Stanley will keep their names in the NBA Draft but that does not stop Coach K from having yet another talented roster. Former five star recruits Matthew Hurt and Wendell Moore are back for the Blue Devils. Jordan Goldwire and Joey Baker are back as well for Coach K squad. On top of who is coming back for Duke, they are bringing in the number three recruiting class in the country headlined by star freshman Jalen Johnson. Duke also landed a commitment from Columbia grad transfer Patrick Tape. This Duke team has a good mixture of youth and experience. Duke will be back at the top of the ACC and should make a deep run in this year"s NCAA tournament.

Wisconsin won a share of the BIG Ten last season and they are expecting much of the same success. They will bringing back most of everyone including star forward Nate Reuvers who averaged 13.1 ppg and 4.5 rbs last season. They have very solid recruiting class coming in headlined by four star Ben Carlson. I am expecting very big things from the Badgers this year. They will be a contender in the BIG Ten and with the experience back, they should make a deep run in the NCAA tournament.

It is no surprise to see Kansas back in the top team. Bill Self has one of the top teams in the country for this upcoming season. They did lose stars Udoka Azibuke, Devon Dotson, and Isaiah Moss but they have some really good talent coming back. Marcus Garrett, Ochai Agbaji, and David McCormack are all back for the Jayhawks. They also will bring in five star Bryce Thompson who will be a HUGE player for the Jayhawks this upcoming season. The BIG 12 is a very competitive league this year but Kansas should be one of the top team in the league and in the country.
