The Cleveland Browns have had an interesting couple days in camp with injuries. Yesterday Mack Wilson got a bit aggressive tackling Nick Chubb causing the star back to head into the training room. The Browns announced today that Chubb is in concussion protocol. With week one less than a month away, the hope is Chubb is back sooner than later. While the Browns still have Kareem Hunt to carry the load, Chubb is crucial to this offense being effective, and the sooner he is healthy, the better.
Mack Wilson Down with Leg Injury Today
A day after Wilson sent Nick Chubb into the trainer’s room, Wilson is there himself. Wilson was working with the twos in 7 on seven drills after being demoted. According to cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot, Wilson held his head in his hands for the cart ride into the fieldhouse. Hopefully, that is not a sign of anything serious as the linebacker’s room is already thin on talent, and Wilson is critical to that room. (Video came late: Does not look good for the promising young linebacker.)
Browns Injury Notes
Myles Garrett missed his second straight practice because of a hamstring injury. When coach Stefanski was asked about it yesterday he said they would leave his availability up to the medical team. Here is hoping this is more precautionary than a lingering issue. Larry Ogunjobi was not dressed with no reason given. Damien Ratley missed practice again with a groin injury. J.C. Tretter is out with the knee issue and George Obinna was out also with an undisclosed injury.
