Once seen as a contender to win the NBA Finals, the 76ers struggled all year and were swept in the first round by the Boston Celtics.

The firing of Brett Brown marks the end of an era for this organization. When he was first hired, Brett was asked to lose games to obtain high draft picks. In seven seasons are the head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers, Brown possessed a record of 221 wins and a whopping 344 losses. However, that number is largely skewed due to his first four seasons with the team where they were expected to lose.
The 76ers have made the playoffs in three straight seasons, but have failed to make it out of the second round. Many forget that Brett Brown was once seen as the brainchild of Greg Popovich. Following their loss on Sunday, many 76ers players, including Josh Richardson, criticized Brett Brown.
Following the disappointing season, more dramatic changes are likely coming for the 76ers as well. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
